Radiography

Diagnostic imaging

Diagnostic Imaging (Radiology) Accuracy and reliability of diagnosis in hospitals and doctors clinics greatly depend upon the conditions under which radiographs and images are viewed. These conditions include the luminance levels in candelas per meter squared (cd/m2) of the display devices (viewing boxes, image workstation monitors, image intensifier monitors) as well as the ambient room illumination (the amount of light falling on the viewing surfaces) in lux.

In an effort to reduce the rate of misdiagnosis (estimated to be as high as 30% by a number of research studies), the Federal Drug Administration, American College of Radiology (ACR), the American Cancer Society and the European community of radiologists have all adopted guidelines and standards for viewing lighting levels.

Radiography

Radiography has a wide range of applications in medicine, including the following: Skeletal system: Radiography is commonly used to diagnose and monitor conditions affecting the bones, such as fractures, dislocations, and osteoarthritis.

SPECTRA PHORAD SYSTEM

Spectra PhoRad Photometer System is a completely portable hand-held, battery powered auto ranging photometer for measuring luminance intensity in candelas per meter squared (cd/m2) with the Luminance Probe and ambient light in lux (lx) with the cosine corrected Photodisc.

The New Spectra PhoRad Photometer is exclusively designed for Radiologist and Radiographers for NDT/QA application and is well known for its precision, accuracy, and repeatability.

Spectra PhoRad Photometers are essential for quality assurance of medical imaging at Diagnostic Imaging departments in hospitals and clinics. PhoRad is very easy to use and most cost effective photometer in the industry.

Spectra PhoRad Photometer System Model # SC 810 & SC 810 A are  completely portable hand-held, battery powered auto ranging photometers for measuring luminance intensity in candelas per meter squared (cd/m2) with the Luminance Probe.

Radiography(Diagnostic Imaging)

Radiography has a wide range of applications in medicine, including the following:

  1. Skeletal system: Radiography is commonly used to diagnose and monitor conditions affecting the bones, such as fractures, dislocations, and osteoarthritis.

  2. Chest: Radiography can be used to identify conditions affecting the lungs and other structures in the chest, such as pneumonia, lung cancer, and tuberculosis.

  3. Abdomen: Radiography can be used to evaluate the organs in the abdominal cavity, such as the liver, spleen, and kidneys, for conditions such as inflammation, infection, and tumors.

  4. Dental: Radiography can be used to produce images of teeth and surrounding structures to diagnose dental problems such as cavities, gum disease and impacted teeth

  5. Trauma: Radiography is often used in emergency departments to diagnose injuries such as broken bones and internal injuries caused by trauma.

  6. Industrial application: Radiography is also used in industries to inspect the internal structure of materials, equipment and structures for defects, cracks, and other issues.

  7. Other uses: Radiography is also used to diagnose and monitor other conditions such as pregnancy, heart disease, and gastrointestinal disorders.
